The eyes of Eneti

This face was chipped into a boulder at a place called Eneti across the Puget Sound from Seattle, Washington. Petroglyph art made by the early Native Peoples of the Pacific Northwest is dominated by eyes! It is said that eyes alone could portray spirits. An Indian myth says that if the Eneti petroglyph boulder be shaken, rain would surely fall.

Native Persons living in the 1800's said that petroglyphs were made to cause rain; but why praise rain spirits on a rain drenched coast? These peoples were keen observers of the diverse effects of nature. Rivers swollen, with waters from heavy rains, would bring schools of salmon on their journey upstream to spawning grounds.

We have chosen the eyes of Eneti as the spirit to see and facilitate your way about the planet, as the salmon have received the gift of fresh waters from the spirit to help them navigate upstream to their ultimate life goal.
